We are a fast paced, fast growing courier/delivery company in the Metro Phoenix area. We are looking for an Operations/General Manager to help us grow our company. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the company - Responsible for management of drivers and office staff, as well as interviewing and hiring drivers - Oversee routing, driver settlements and other administrative functions integral to the operation's success - Oversee daily courier dispatch functions - Provide the highest level of service to both internal and external customers - Act as liaison and communicate with drivers and customer to ensure that critical delivery parameters are met Other duties as required to ensure the operation run safely, efficiently and profitably - This position will require working a non-traditional schedule including some evenings/and on call hours JOB REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Proven track record in dispatch functions (preferably courier dispatch) and has exceptional knowledge of the Phoenix Metro area. - Exceptional customer service skills - Driver management skills - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Demonstrated PC aptitude including the use of Microsoft office applications - Ability to creatively solve problems as needed - Ability to work in a faced paced environment with large volume and critical delivery parameters -Strong time management and organizational skills with great attention to details EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. College degree preferred in Logistics or other related field. EXPERIENCE: Five years of dispatching and courier management preferred.
