We are a transportation company providing same day delivery service in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for co-managing a team of drivers. Modern Express Courier has been providing our clients with exceptional service since 1951. Reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring efficient and effective management of day to day operations. The position also contributes to the development and implementation of long-term company strategies, policies and practices. Responsibilities: •Play a significant role in long-term planning, including developing and implementing efficient operational procedures • Inspecting, issuing, and maintaining assets and equipment •Effectively communicating company policy •Designing appropriate scheduling/staffing of employees • Regular meetings with Facilities Operations Manager Qualifications •Excellent computer skills and proficiency in excel, word, and powerpoint •Excellent communication skills both verbal and written •Commitment to high professional ethical standards •Excels at operating in a fast pace environment •Active problem solver •Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization •Strong ability to establish priorities in a changing environment •High attention to detail • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Transportation or Logistics preferredPhotos :
