Sterling, VA based company seeking full time day and/or night dispatcher. Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching drivers to pick up and drop off packages as requested by customers utilizing Xcelerator dispatch system. Responsibilities include: assigning runs to drivers. ensuring efficient and timely deliveries; communicating with drivers by phone/ptt to resolve problems or provide instructions; entering orders for deliveries; and responding to customer inquiries. Knowledge of VA/DC/MD geographical areas is necessary. Requirements: 2-3 years equivalent work experience. The ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, lift 50 lbs, squat, climb, bend & maneuver 200 lbs with a dolly. The ability to become TSA, Forklift, & Pallet Jack certified is required.
