Central Courier Group is looking for an experienced General Manager with at least 10 years experience in the same-day delivery business. Excellent Salary package - $100 000 basic plus $20 000 incentive bonus. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Ensure profitability is a primary and mandatory outcome of each Business Unit. 2. Manage relationships between actual financial results, budgets and forecasts. 3. Control all aspects of finances including managing the working capital, P&L, cash flow, debtors. 4. Manage the revenue top line, gross profit margin and the bottom line of the Group. 5. New business development, identifying new business opportunities in the region (bringing in new accounts) as well as in terms of growth of business with existing customers. 6. Provide leadership - lead and motivate key personnel and monitor and manage performance. 7. Uphold company policies and procedures as well as comply with State and Federal requirements. 8. Implement and monitor KPI's, benchmark performance and strive for best practice across the business units. 9. Participate in identifying potential acquisitions for the Group. 10. Produce monthly management reports & business unit reviews. Requirements 1. 10 years senior management experience in the Same-Day Courier business in the Los Angeles area. 2. Strong communication & relationship skills with clients & employees. 3. Strong leadership, Sales and financial skills. 4. Must have an excellent negotiating and influencing ability. 5. Must be committed to excellent service & customer satisfaction. 6. Willing to travel between offices.
