Under the direction of the Customer Support Manager, this position works Tuesday through Saturday from 11pm to 7am, and is responsible for timely, courteous and professional answering of customers’ phone calls for the day-to-day acceptance and distribution of orders, scheduling pick-ups and/or deliveries, and for ensuring proper and timely dispatching of these orders to the Independent Contractor (IC) fleet on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met for order entry, tracking and providing proof of deliveries, problem solving, and technical support for on-line customers and IC’s. The Customer Support Specialist ensures superior quality service is provided to each customer during all business hours and handles other related duties as assigned. The successful candidate must have be a High School Graduate; College preferred. Transportation experience/background required. Two to three years relevant experience required, customer service experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, with use of computers and have experience with Map Programs. Prefer technical savvy candidate. Must be able to dispatch Independent Contractors throughout the states of Ohio and Kentucky, so both a macro and micro knowledge of geography is critical. Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with strong customer service skills. Extensive knowledge of regional roadways and geographical knowledge of each delivery center is required.
